Halloween (2018)

It’s been 40 years since Laurie Strode survived a vicious attack from crazed killer Michael Myers on Halloween night. Locked up in an institution, Myers manages to escape when his bus transfer goes horribly wrong. Laurie now faces a terrifying showdown when the masked madman returns to Haddonfield. — but this time, she’s ready for him.

Michael Myers is back and older, and so is Laurie Strode and she’s older too.  Along with them is a bunch of new characters none of which are all that cool.  Laurie Strode played brilliantly by Jamie Lee Curtis has been preparing for him for 40 years.  She is by far the best part of this movie.  I really wish there was much more of her to be honest.

I had a really good time with Halloween, it’s easily one of the best horror films of the last few years.  However, I think that it could be greatly improved.  There was a lot of time spent with a Halloween dance involving Laurie Strode’s granddaughter which I didn’t feel was needed.  Also there is something that happens with about 45 minutes to go that I really just didn’t like at all.
