October is here and that means watching as many scary movies as possible. Here are my picks for the best scary movies and TV shows to watch this month.
Stranger Things Season 2
Stranger Things is arguably Netflix’s best original show and it’s back for its highly anticipated second season streaming on Netflix October 27
The Conjuring 1 & 2
Based on the true case files of Ed and Lorraine Warren, The Conjuring films are some of my favorite horror movies and I HIGHLY recommend both of them.
Raw is a French film and one of grossest things I’ve ever seen. If you’re into crazy, weird, gross stuff then I totally recommend you give it a watch. If you’re not then don’t because you’ll hate it and me for suggesting it in the first place.
The Shining is my all time favorite horror film and it’s sure to make you want to sleep with the lights on.
Hush is a Netflix original movie directed by Mike Flanagan. In Hush, a deaf writer who retreated into the woods to live a solitary life must fight for her life in silence when a masked killer appears at her window.
Another one of my favorites is Zodiac, which tells the story of the Zodiac Killer. Starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Robert Downey Jr, if you haven’t seen Zodiac yet, you really should.
The Silence of the Lambs
The Silence of the Lambs is a classic where a young F.B.I. agent played by Jodie Foster must confide in an incarcerated and manipulative killer to receive his help on catching another serial killer.
American Horror Story: Murder House
The first season of American Horror Story is the perfect scary show to binge watch this October.
The events of one evening take an unexpected turn for the worst for a young boy trying to spy on his babysitter. The Babysitter starts streaming on Netflix on Friday October 13th and looks to be a ridiculous good time.
Mindhunter also starts streaming on Netflix on Friday the 13th. Produced by David Fincher Mindhunter is about a top FBI agent that hunts down rapists and serial killers using advice from those he’s already locked up.
I’d be remissed if I didn’t mention Scream one of my favorite scary films of all time. Make sure to give it a watch if you never have.
